MOSAIC’S STORY

Mosaic was founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife duo Mike and Kiri.

In the 20 years that have passed since the day Mosaic opened its doors, we’ve become proud members of our community, establishing locations in three different neighborhoods in the Orlando area.

Our salon, Mosaic Hair Studio, was founded in 2004 and was first located in the 2 story building that is adjacent to us.

We named the salon Mosaic because we believe that beauty is about putting all the pieces together, just like the tiles.

A SIGN IT WAS MEANT TO BE

In 2012, we purchased the current home and started the demolition of the interior to make it our new salon space.

During the early part of the demolition when the workers were removing an interior wall, Joe, the foreman, ran inside our salon and said he found something we would not believe.

Inside one of the walls near the fireplace are these 1920’s tile samples from The Mosaic Tile Company in NYC.

Kiri and I got goosebumps as we stood there looking at the discovery hidden in these walls all these years, taking it as a sign that it was all meant to be.

With dozens of employees across multiple locations, Mosaic is proud to be a cornerstone in Ivanhoe, the Milk District, and Winter Garden.

The story behind the tiles signified that we were exactly where we needed to be, and remains a source of inspiration as we grow. A passion for what we do and a drive to support our local communities propel us further on our journey to be Orlando’s go-to hair salon.
