If you are on this page we are assuming you haven’t been to our salon and want to know what you are getting yourself into before making an appointment. We love what we do, everything about it; the people we work with, the continuing education, the products etc. We love it all but we are most passionate about our clients. Our success formula has always been to offer Instagram worthy hair, an unpretentious friendly vibe and thoughtful service driven by employees that care, resulting in thrilled and loyal clients.
Mosaic Hair Studio and Blowout Bar is a boutique hair salon located near downtown Orlando. The husband and wife team of Mike and Kiri, both being stylists themselves, realized their dream of opening their own salon in June of 2004. When it all began it was just a few employees in those early years but as we’ve grown we have found ourselves fortunate enough to work in the company of some talented and creative stylists. We look forward to welcoming you.
Meet The Team
Entrepreneur, Master Stylist, Speaker, Political Activist, Audiophile, Curiosity and a love of learning are driving principles for Mike. As co-owner, marketing director and a stylist at Mosaic Hair Studio he is always experimenting with new styles and techniques; and dreaming up brilliant marketing campaigns for his trusted side-kick to implement.
Chairman of the Board, Head Honcho, CEO, El Presidente; there are many words to describe Kiri’s role but we lovingly call her “The Owner.” As owner and creative director, Kiri is inspired by trends in Interior design, architecture, or anything on HGTV. Kiri’s clients love her because she takes a personal interest in them; perfecting the art of listening to a client’s wants, while guiding them to what they need. So come on in if you need advice on your style or fabric choice.
If you have ever wondered what's wrong with Millennials, rest assure that Nicky will restore your faith in the youth. Smart, cool under pressure, and always ready with a smile and a glass of wine when you walk in.
Amelia brings with her a big heart, huge personality and a love of long hair to the Mosaic team. She's quick to talk about her dogs, animal advocacy and celebrity trash. When not at the salon she loves to travel or relax by her pool. Currently she has been accepted and is working on becoming an Accredited master stylist.
When Kim isn’t too busy wearing her mom hat, she reminds us of a Hollywood mashup; one part Disney Princess, one part Star Wars, and a heaping scoop of Nightmare Before Christmas. Kim is a graduate of the Aveda Institute Winter Park. Her passion for coloring hair has pushed her to become a Wella Certified Colorist.
We've known Jennifer for several years before she started working with us. First time we met her, we knew we wanted her to work with us, but at the time she was getting ready to move out of state. Our persistence paid off. We are thrilled to have her join our team. An impeccable stylist, her work speaks for itself. An avid outdoors enthusiast and world traveler, Jennifer connects with clients easily and her work leaves them smiling.
It was serendipity when we chanced upon Megann. This Florida native, yes there are a few left, moved to Orlando for Love; which is coincidentally how we found out about her. Her wonderful husband happened to be working on our new building. She was meant to be with us. As a stylist with 8 years of experience under her belt, you will be in very capable hands. Her laid-back and welcoming attitude makes her a fan favorite here at Mosaic.
Colorful people in your life make it better. With her relaxed demeanor and vibrant and ever changing hair color Taylor makes our salon better. Originally from South Carolina, Taylor moved to Orlando to pursue her Cosmetology career and graduating from Paul Mitchell. Her blowout skills have been highly sought after and she will leave a smile on your face as much as she does on ours.
Julie is a native born Floridian originally from the Ft. Myers area. Her vibe is as warm and relaxing as Sanibel Island. She loves teaching girls with curls how to manage their hair. Sun kissed balayage blondes and beach texture are part of her DNA. Quick with a smile and easy to communicate with, Julie is a fan favorite.
Brittany as a kid always ruined all her barbie dolls her mom would say; but in reality she was planting the seed for her love affair with hair. She's been in the industry for 10 years and counting. A huge fan of extensions, keratin treatments and color. Her collaborative nature makes her a perfect team addition. Also, she brings in donuts (often).
Some people get to their career destination by walking in a straight line; Michelle not so much. It wasn't until she listened to her own heart, went to Aveda Beauty School and found her forever career. Originally from South Florida, her style is part Brickell Ave meets festival hair.
So out of the blue we get a text from a local salon owner. It said," I know your salon is expanding and I've got an employee that might be a better fit for you than us." Naturally we were expecting a disaster when we called up Claire but we were thrilled to learn she was very Nice. And Normal. So we would like to thank the other salon for recommending Claire to us. We will always take Nice and Normal.
It's not easy finding people that get our sense of humor and vibe but for some reason Linda laughs at all our jokes. She is eager to help, has a professional yet casual style and can work a blowdryer and brush like no one else.
